What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage and tracking scripts) work in comparable ways. They help websites function and let owners understand how the site is used.
How we use cookies
Scoper keeps things minimal. We use:
- Strictly necessary storage to run the Site and remember your cookie choice.
- Analytics cookies — only Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and only after you opt in.
We do not use advertising, marketing, retargeting, or social-media tracking cookies of any kind.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the Site to work and to honour your preferences. They don't track you and can't be switched off. This includes a small record of your cookie consent choice so we don't ask you on every visit.
Analytics cookies (consent required)
If you accept analytics cookies, we load two services:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate traffic and usage. We enable IP anonymisation and disable advertising features and Google Signals.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised usage insights such as heatmaps and aggregated session statistics, to help us improve usability.
Neither service loads until you give consent through our cookie banner. If you reject, these scripts are never added to the page.
Cookie list
Cookie names and expiries set by Google and Microsoft are controlled by those providers and may change. For details see Google's cookie information and Microsoft Clarity's cookie documentation.
Manage your choice
You can accept or reject analytics cookies when you first visit, and change your decision at any time:
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working. Guides are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again.
